Most travelers picture Banff in the height of summer with its turquoise lakes or in the middle of winter when the mountains are covered in snow. But here’s the secret: Banff’s shoulder season of spring (April to June) and fall (September & October) may just be our favorite time to visit. During these months, you’ll find fewer crowds, lower hotel rates, and a more peaceful vibe while still experiencing many of Banff’s highlights. While some activities are seasonal, there are still plenty of incredible ways to enjoy the Canadian Rockies in spring and fall.
