The Scenic Drive That Tops Them All: Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park

If we had to pick one scenic drive that tops all others in any national park, it would be Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park, Montana. Stretching 50 miles across the park from West Glacier to St. Mary, this engineering marvel winds through alpine peaks, past glacial lakes, and over hairpin turns that leave you breathless… literally and figuratively. After visiting countless parks across the U.S. and Canada, this drive holds a special place in our hearts for its combination of dramatic scenery, wildlife viewing, and accessibility, making it perfect for a family road trip or solo adventure alike.
